Friday, during the day, the kids and I had a lot of fun making Chocolate Chip Cookies. Payton has a new found love of helping mommy in the kitchen, which is so fun, and Ethan enjoys trying to get in on the action too! Payton's most common phrase is, "Payton taste it mommy...." Ha, just like her mama!
And they know that afterwards I usually give in to a little "tasting."
After all the sugar, they were wound up and just cracking me up! They love to wrestle with each other, as long as it doesn't get too out of control! :)
Saturday we headed to Carmel to hang out with our friends, Brian and Abbey Cook, and their little girl Nora. We had a great time planning out our month in Shaklee, dreaming about our future, and doing an open house to share with others! We had a lot of fun! The kids enjoyed playing with Nora at Chick-Fil-A and playing with their dogs (once they got used to them!)
We also attempted to take a few fall pictures outdoors, but it was REALLY windy and the kids weren't in the best picture taking mood, but we got a few cute ones! Here are some of my favorites! (THANKS ABBEY, our photographer!!) :)
Ok, so that is a few more than a "couple" of my favorites, but I couldn't decide! :) Needless to say, we wore the kids out this weekend and they slept almost all the way home yesterday! And it was kinda nice for Kyle and I just to have a chance to talk, and I even helped him with some grading, which made me feel helpful! :) The kids went down for an early bedtime, which meant cookies and milk and snuggle time for Kyle and I! All in all, a GREAT weekend! Thanks Cook's for having us! :)
