Ethan- My growing boy!

It is hard to believe that my baby boy is now 14 months old! Where did the time go?!?! It has really hit me the last week or so how much he has grown into a little boy, and not a baby. He is talking more and doing "big boy things" and Mommy just can't handle it! :( He is now wearing 18-24 month outfits, and size 5 shoe! He is tall and thinning out. He has big brown eyes and very blonde hair that has a natural curl to it in the back.

Ethan has multiple nicknames. I wonder sometimes if this kid is ever going to know his real name! :) He is known as Bubby or Bubba to most, including Payton. That is the usual name around the house. He also is called "Bubb-a-lubs" but I don't even know where that came from! He is my little buddy and I can't get enough of him!

Bubba is growing up before our eyes. He is talking so much more lately, saying mama, dada, bath, ball, all done, hi, bye, and others I can't think of! :) He knows so many more words, but we are working on expressing those. He will sign all done and more, with more being very common!! He is DEFINITELY our big eater, out-eating Payton with every meal. (We thought this could never be done, until he came along!!) He has been walking since 9 months, and going up AND down stairs since then. So, you can imagine, we are now on to the running stage! He is into EVERYTHING. He is "ALL BOY" with climbing and getting into stuff. I worry a little because NOTHING phases him! You can tell him no, put him in timeout, and spank, and NOTHING seems to register! I could have a little monster on my hands! LOL! It isn't uncommon to find him ON our kitchen table, turning on and off the TV, or pulling EVERYTHING out of our entertainment center. Little Stinker! But, he can also be my little cuddle bug! He LOVES to grab his passy and blankey and come cuddle on my lap! He is VERY into books all of the sudden and will bring book after book after book to me, jump in my lap, and wanting to read. He LOVES animal books and tries to make the animal sounds, his favorite BY FAR being the "growl!" He is getting better at sleeping at night (both of my kids have never been good sleepers....) and I am VERY thankful for that! He loves to play, with ANYTHING. He is especially fond of any ball, which makes Daddy proud. He is a mommy's boy right now, but he LOVES when his daddy gets home from school, running into his arms! He also loves to "talk" on the phone, getting a big smile when it is someone he recognizes and kisses the phone! He LOVES to give kisses, and mommy and daddy LOVE to receive them, even if a little wet! :) He loves his big sister, and tries to do anything she does or teaches him, including bad things such as turning off the TV and jumping in the bed! He also LOVES music and dancing, just like his sissy. He does well in the nursery and loves to play with other kids, although thinking he can tackle them like he does his sister. OOPS! He is not a picky eater and will DOWN any food set in front of him. Some of his favorites are PB&J sandwiches and bananas. He LOVES the outdoors and will swing for hours if I let him! He loves to play with his doggie, although most of the time pulling his ears. He too loves his Grammie and papa, Grandma and Grandpa, becoming quickly a Papa/Grandpa's boy! He has no fear: no fear of steps, water, new things. (this worries me to a degree!!) I can only imagine what this little guy is going to turn into as he grows up! And last but not least, Bubba has a smile that can turn any bad day into good! His whole face lights up and I can't get enough of those smiles!!

Bubba, your mommy loves you so much and can't believe that you aren't my little baby anymore! But, you will always be mommy's baby boy and I hope you ALWAYS want to cuddle with your mommy!! You are amazing and God has big plans for you! I can't get enough of you!
