Spring, spring, oh how I love thee! Even in the middle of the LONGEST RAINY stretch of the CENTURY, I am excited with what is coming ahead! April has been a busy month, and because of that, I find myself amazing that May is just around the corner!! But, things are happening and we are excited!!
Here is a look back on the last few months:
Payton is amazing us each and every day with the things she is learning and her "big girl" mentality. (Although sometimes frustrating! ha!) She is now almost 26 months and growing fast! She loves to attempt singing her ABC's, getting the key letters and mumbling through the rest! She will count to twenty, emphasizing her FAVORITE numbers- ten, twelve, and twenty! She is my little eater, not picky and trying new things! She LOVES the "new basement"- AKA, her new play area. She loves to be independent and thinks that space is HER SPECIAL AREA to "just be." And she has a new found love of Movies, and it cracks us up the things she picks up from them! She is doing well in her "big girl bed," although I am not sure I am quite excited about the wake up call two inches from my face each morning..."Mommy, WAKE UP!" Ha! And as the weather gets warmer, she BEGS to go outside! She is going to be my little waterbug/outside creature this summer! I am VERY excited about that! :)
Ethan is our "happy, go lucky" child. He is now 9 months and is turning more and more into a little boy, and less and less baby. (Kinda makes mommy sad...) But, he is still my little cuddle-bug and we call him "Mr. Smiley" and "Bubba/Bubby." I think we should have just gone with Bubby instead of Ethan, I think that might just go with him until he's 80! He has one tooth, with a second on beginning to poke through. Walking is in our near future we think...he LOVES to stand, walk along things, and let's go for a short period of time. So, we think he isn't far from being COMPLETELY 'on the go!' Ethan LOVES his sister and even kinda fights back with her sometimes. It is cute and kinda funny, but I know someday in the near future it won't be so funny! :) He is my little chunk, weighing in at over 22 lbs last week at the doctor! Reminds us of Payton, although she was even chunkier at this age! And the thing I fear a little- Ethan has NO FEAR! He has managed to learn how to crawl up and down, YES DOWN, the stairs, and even taken a few tumbles as he thinks he needs to "fly down them." This worries mommy, but I know it is just a boy thing to do! He will definitely LOVE the summer and the outdoors, water, etc! Looks to be a fun time!
Kyle and I have been busy working to meet our goals in our Shaklee Business! We have reached 3 ranks on or before the "FastTrack Timeline" and we are excited to keep that going! We have had SO much fun expanding our team of people, helping young families bring in some extra income, helping many homes become safer with ridding them of toxins, helping many people feel better as they have experienced QUALITY products, and helping mom's be able to stay at home with kids instead of dreading a 9-5 job! We are having a BLAST helping others, and we have ROOM FOR YOU if this sounds like something interesting to you!
A few weeks ago we picked out our very first Shaklee Vehicle, a Chrysler Town and Country Van! It was nuts signing all the papers over, but for the first time, Kyle and I didn't feel like we were "signing our life away" because we knew we weren't the ones making the car payments- Shaklee was!! We are so excited for many family road trips, and quite frankly, I just love the automatic doors for when I take the kids grocery shopping! The little things in life that make a world of difference! haha! We are also very excited to be going to San Fransisco in just a few short weeks to not only celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary, but ALSO for a FREE SHAKLEE trip to the Headquarters! We can't wait to hang out with and bounce ideas off of other top Shaklee experts, as well as meet many other builders just like us! It should be a great trip to learn more about how to better help others reach their goals and dreams! We are also looking forward to our trips to DC, the Bahamas, and hopefully Bora Bora, all this year! I love FREE trips and being treated like royalty! Oh and today I just got a notice about receiving our $3000 FastTrack Coordinator Bonus, so that is VERY exciting!!
God has been teaching me that HE HAS TOTAL CONTROL and I need to trust him in everything! Not everything will go our way, not everything will go according to our plans, but God knows and God has it under control! I am challenged to remember this from time to time when I want to have control and do it all myself, but need to continue to "let go, and let GOD!" With the recent celebration of Easter, I was reminded of this once again. After one of the most moving Easter Services that I can remember, I was encouraged that "He knows MY name." God has everything in his hands, everything perfectly planned out and under control, and my weak human nature needs to no worry, and have FAITH that HE IS IN CONTROL!! Thank you Jesus that I don't have control, who knows where I'd be if that were the case! :)
